Giveaway of Amazingness…that’s right, amazingness!

Posted on

I am so excited about this giveaway! It’s vegan (duh), soy free, nut free, sugar free and artificial sweetener/flavor free as well. That sounds boring, but it’s not. Oh yeah, and it’s CALORIE free, but delicious and refreshing.

In case you haven’t caught on, my giveaway involves water. Flavored water. But back up just a moment. This isn’t vitamin water I’m talking about here. It’s herbalWATER. This is a product I’ve read about in the past. And one that I can only get in limited flavors locally. World Market/Cost Plus carries the lemon ginger variety. So I’ve tried that, and one other flavor, but not the rest.

Imagine my excitement when I found out that I would receive a package containing one of each flavor to try. CAN YOU FEEL ME?! A guilt free giveaway. So I got the above package and was super excited.
image
They even had tasting suggestions. Not that I needed any, but I love the descriptions of each flavor.

To be honest, I decided to try the Lavender Mint flavor first. Mostly because I thought I’d like it the least. I’m picky about lavender and mint is rarely something I choose to consume unless I’m chewing gum or brushing my teeth. I have this fear of minty things tasting like I’m eating toothpaste so I tend to shy away from them. MAN. I was so wrong about the lavender mint flavor. It also had thyme and lemongrass extracts added to it and I was absolutely blown away.

The above flavor is what I lovingly refer to as Christmas in a bottle. That’s what it tasted like. I paired this with alcohol (whiskey and water anyone?) and it was phenomenal. Just…wow. In case you can’t tell, I’ve been really impressed with this product. It’s pretty rare that I like an entire line…but..I mean..WOW.

Now, I don’t know why this picture is sideways. I cannot seem to fix it. But it had to be included. Yes, another mint flavor-lemongrass mint vanilla. The best way I can think of to describe this is that it tastes like a white tic-tac but it’s way more vanilla-y and way less minty. It’s extremely pleasant, refreshing, and more mellow than one would suspect.

I saved the best for last. This flavor sounds the strangest of them all. Flowers? Lemongrass? more flowers? It doesn’t sound like it would be a winner, but I can assure you…I’ve never tasted anything like this. EVER. It’s a party in my mouth. A party that I wish would never leave.

So, on to why you’re reading. The wonderful folks at Ayala’s herbal waters allowed me to host a giveaway on my blog. I am offering my readers a giveaway consisting of 1 sampler prize pack = 1 bottle of each 16oz flavor plus our Food Pairing recommendation card. (NOTE: The selected winner must provide an email address and a shipping address located within the 48 contiguous US states – no APOs, PO Boxes or shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or Mexico.) <—Those are the rules.

To enter the giveaway, tell me about your favorite store bought beverage, from Starbucks to the more obscure Mama Chia, from bubble tea to almond milk chai, spill it! For a 2nd entry into the contest, leave a comment telling me about your favorite flavor of Ayala's herbal water. For a third entry, follow me on twitter and leave a comment that you’ve followed me. For a 4th entry, please follow Herbal Water on twitter and let me know that you’ve done so.

As previously stated, this contest is only open to US residents in the 48 contiguous states. You MUST provide me with an email address and an address that is not a PO Box if you’re selected as the winner.

This contest is open until October 30, 2011 at Midnight Central.

About laceythevegan

I'm a reader, a food lover, a crazy cat lady, an animal lover, local shopper and local music supporter. You can find me in East Nashville most of the time, shopping, having a drink at a locally owned bar, or eating food at a local restaurant. I like cumin and smoked paprika way more than I should, winter squashes make me happy, and while I do like most fruits, I only *love* berries and mangoes. I'd rather have salty snacks than sweets, and the darker chocolate is, the better. I still think Earth Balance is the best fake butter, Vegenaise is the best vegan mayo, and Almond Milk tastes better than soy milk. Chia seeds are my favorite egg substitute for the most part, and pumpkin tends to bind better than applesauce-especially in chocolate goods. I know a lot about food and nutrition, but that doesn't mean I'm the healthiest person. I tend to avoid eating out because I know I can make food that tastes better at home.

  5. I love the Pumpkin Pie Spice Latte from Starbucks, but I’ve found a recipe lately that I can make at home that tastes as good. (I’ve not tried the vanilla almond milk version, but I’m going to buy some to try it.) OH and the best part, it doesn’t even cost CLOSE to $5. 🙂

  10. Awesome to hear such a rave review! My favorite store bought beverage is probably any GTs Kombucha flavor. I don’t buy many drinks but I’m always willing to splurge for a Kombucha. Especially the ginger flavors.

  30. I have to admit, I love the pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, but that is only a seasonal splurge. I’m really not much of a coffee drinker, but I also really love pearl coffee soymilk. Ooooh, and the chocolate peppermint soy milk that they no longer make. Sigh. Sadly, I’ve never even heard of herbal water, so I can’t speak to my favorite flavor of it. 😦
